PIN GRADING CRITERIA
What is Pin Grading?
Pin grading refers to the quality of a pin. Because of the nature of how enamel pins are created, pins in a batch have varying appearance and may contain flaws. When purchasing pins you acknowledge the flaws that may be present. There will be no refunds or exchanges due to flaws. Below is the outline for my grading criteria.

Standard Grade
Standard grade pins are the highest quality offered, and are perfect for display and wear.
These pins are generally perfect, but may contain the following minor flaws:
• inconsistent line width
• minor scratches or scuffs on metal
• tiny air bubbles not easily visible
• minor dust in enamel
• small inconsistencies in enamel color
These flaws are difficult to see unless the pins are closely inspected.

B-Grade
B-grade pins are pins of slightly lower quality than Standard grade due to perceivable flaws. These flaws may not be easily apparent upon first glance and are unperceivable seen at a distance. However, these pins are still excellent for display and especially for everyday wear on bags and apparel.
Flaws on B-Grades may include:
• noticeable air bubbles
• noticeable dust
• small scratches and scuffs on enamel and metal
• enamel paint underfill
• small areas of missing enamel
• small areas of smeared enamel
• minor dabs of incorrect color
Pins within this category vary in defects, some nearly Standard grade.

C-grade
These are pins that are highly defective and include the following flaws:
• large or deep areas of scratches on enamel or metal
• large air bubbles
• multiple areas of missing enamel fill
• low quality work
• broken pin posts
• etc
C-grades are considered unsellable due to these flaws and defects.

ABOUT MISMATCHED PAIR: The mismatched pair is a pair of B-grade pins featuring Blue Jacket Lupin and Part 1 Color Scheme of Zenigata. Due to this mismatch and the grading, it has been further discounted.
